@drahardja in general there’s been a huge decline in single-purpose devices and apps. it seems like everyone is chasing the next ‘everything device’ or ‘everything app’… i believe that’s why gen z is returning to more physical items like mp3 players, CD players, e-readers, etc. that do one thing and one thing well in this attention economy
FWIW, if you have an apple device, there’s an elderly-friendly ipad/iphone mode that enlarges and simplifies the interface significantly. the iphone costs the same, but if you catch a refurbished older model the price can drop quite far in my experience

@drahardja a quick google search surfaced this https://www.theseniorlist.com/cell-phones/assistive-access it does seem to be relatively recent in iOS 17
