Thinking about early in the pandemic when the UK already had a disproportionately massive death toll (but wasn't really acknowledging so) and a UK artist was tweeting about how they'd virtually appeared at an event in Australia. The Australian hosts started off by offering their sincere condolences and best wishes to the UK artist for the catastrophic tragedy happening in the UK. That kind of acknowledgement just isn't happening within the UK public consciousness.
