i finallyyy got my hands on the digitising part of my job last weekend, at the european hip hop studies network conference at the groninger museum!! the hip hop community aspect of my job had always been a bit abstract, holed up in a meeting room in utrecht one day a week, but it was incredible to put names to faces and also to help (in my very little way) digitising people’s personal archival hip hop collections :D the cassette player is now my best friend
