Happy 303 Day! There is a myth that when Roland released the TB-303 in 1981, they had no idea that some of the tone controls would later be used (by tweaking knobs while the sequencer was running) to make an 'Acid' sound. A TB-303 advert from 1982 refers to these tone controls, and says: "to be varied at pleasure". "At Pleasure". THEY KNEW! https://www.muzines.co.uk/ad/5855 Here's an April 1982 review of the first 303 in the UK: https://www.muzines.co.uk/articles/roland-tb-303-bass-line/4250 #Roland303 #TB303 #MuZines #303Day
