@Aurimas@androiddev.social I also got the notification about this. Strange enough for me it was disabled despite the notification saying I need to opt-out 🤷♂️

@Aurimas@androiddev.social From context, it seems to be about AI usage only, but with MSFT you never know how they’ll spin it, so probably a good idea

@Aurimas@androiddev.social Thank you for posting that link. I removed everything from github some months ago when the former CEO resigned and Microslop took over. Codeberg.org is serving me just fine. Meanwhile, it's nice to turn this shit off, just in case.

@Aurimas@androiddev.social The drop down is also very disingenuous: Getting your data stolen is a feature now.

@Aurimas@androiddev.social Is this a thing if you don't use Copylot? I don't want to get opted into it trying to opt out of something that's not even there if I'm not using it.

@Aurimas@androiddev.social for me this was the drop to delete my account and switch to codeberg.

@Aurimas@androiddev.social i'd been planning to get my stuff off github for a while. I don't really use it anymore. This gave me the final push. i deleted my stuff, then I deleted my account. A full "opt-out".

@Aurimas@androiddev.social I appreciate the info, but you work at Google. How can you justify that while caring about invasive data collection?
