If only we had entire advisory boards we could ignore before pushing forward any legislation. The UK government have always treated petitions as an after thought. The only real action we can take is to encourage our friends, families and acquaintances to move away from proprietary social media that will be compelled by law to comply over to self-hosted, free and open source platforms in countries beyond the reach of the United Kingdom's government. @openrightsgroup@social.openrightsgroup.org @PoliceStateUK@mastodon.me.uk Tags: #AgeVerification, #Privacy, #FreedomOfExpression, #FreedomOfSpeech, #OnlineSafety, #SocialMediaBan, #UKPolitics, #UKPOL, #DigitalRights.

@openrightsgroup@social.openrightsgroup.org I'd like to see anti trust enforcement that breaks meta/Facebook up. A bunch of the reported harms all involve zuckerberg owned services. Maybe things would be better if we got rid of him.
