@seawall@mastodon.nz I thought you meant HP Lovecraft for a second! I know some people have tried to cancel him, but they can totally fuck off as far as I'm concerned. As for Bill Cosby...he's a scumbag creep who surely belongs in prison for life. But that doesn't change the fact that he was also funny as hell in his time. I still listen to some of his comedy LPs once in a while.

@seawall@mastodon.nz I was lucky. I grew up with Enid Blyton and her Famous 5. After plodding my way through the first HP I concluded that it was just a regurgitation of TF5 but with wands and magic. Never did read the rest for that reason. Finding out just who JKR really is was just a bonus. 😉 😎

@seawall@mastodon.nz I was a huge Alice Cooper fan. The first album I bought was School's Out. Saw him live twice, even got to meet him one year in Detroit. Haven't bought anything since he went on that anti trans skreed years ago. Put all the CDs in storage. Wept, burried the dude that would hate me if I met him again since transitioning. Burried him, and moved on even with worse than a hole to fill.. a catalogue of tainted memories.

@seawall@mastodon.nz I loved Woody Allen and don’t even get me started on Marian Zimmerman Bradley. Live and learn.

@seawall@mastodon.nz for a second I wondered who became so attached to their childhood printer brand - though they _have_ been getting worse over time as well 😆
