That's sad but likely true. I've been reading eBooks on my phone as a way to avoid non-stop doomscrolling. I just finished my fifth anthology in about three weeks.
But physical books? I read them when I'm lying in bed. That's it, really. Maybe, occasionally in my recliner.
God, I love the way a physical book smells, but still don't make the time for them like I used to.
I'm part of the problem.

@jrdepriest @theVedek @Impossible_PhD eBooks have replaced "mass market paperbacks", which also means if you want to read a physical book you are paying a lot for something that's heavier to carry around and for which you probably care more about wear and tear. I like your idea of using it as a means to stop doomscrolling. last year I cracked my shoulder and suddenly had a lot of time to read. I read so many books, I was tearing through science fiction novels like they were potato chips in a bowl.

@jrdepriest @theVedek @Impossible_PhD I don‘t really think it is sad. It is different. Not worse, or better.
