Once again, I am asking all #NZPol journalists and media outlets to stop referring to lobbying operations and dark-money front groups as "unions." They are not. I am a taxpayer who has repeatedly written to the TPU asking questions about their governance and representation of the rank and file. I have asked to see the constitution and have requested dates of elections of officers. I've asked them how they develop mandates in accordance with the input of the membership. Crickets. Of course a far-right outfit whose mission is to entrench Feudalism 2.0 would not model itself on a structure that belongs to its mortal enemy, organised labour. Their deliberate hijacking of a label says everything about them: lying, obfuscatory lapdogs of the billionaire class who are openly determined to turn us all into serfs and lay waste to the biosphere.
