I think '28 will be the perfect year for a Far-right to run for President.
Vance is out, anybody with sense in the Republican camp knows they will lose following Trump's actions. The Far-Right candidate (even if skin deep) would not win but would be seen as a viable and attractive opposite to the democrats. It would be an optics win, because the US have been so caught in the "there are only two real options to vote: R or D". But right now, with antisemitism being at an all time high, a candidate could theoretically get a few percentage points: a first step toward victory.
