@jackyan@mastodon.social my first two cars were carburetor cars and even at the second part of Finnish driver's license education (dark, slippery, economical driving) the instructor told me to coast in neutral, because that's how my car worked. It took some time to learn to coast in gear with the never cars since, ... the 406 SW in 2008. Had a really good instructor in that second part and he taught me some really good lessons for economical driving and safety. I was basically 100% ready for the electric car when I bought the 2011 LEAF in 2014. Didn't have to rethink my driving at all. 😅️
