Illegal food in Austria? :hitler_hmm: Some people still don’t believe me, but this is reality in Austria. It can be illegal to eat and post a photo of a certain dish on April 20th. In extreme cases, it can even lead to years in prison. There is an urban legend that an Austrian dish made of dumplings and eggs “Eiernockerl” was Hitler’s favorite meal. Eating and posting it on his birthday can be interpreted by law enforcement as a criminal act: a violation of the Denazification Law (Verbotsgesetz), specifically § 3g for “nationalsozialistische Betätigung in anderer Weise" which carries penalties of up to ten years in prison. There where cases of restaurants offering Eiernockerl on the menu on that day, getting investigated. Since § 3g is a "severe crime" Police can immediately surveille you, raid your home, take your devices and a court will examine whether there was a National Socialist motive behind the act of eating Eiernockerl. In the worst case, someone could face prison. In any case, it can lead to a criminal record. Don’t take my word for it , just search these two keywords: “Eiernockerl” and “Gericht.” source: https://x.com/MartinSellner_/status/2031851835166761282

  • I mean, that does look pretty tasty... I wonder if it would be good with kraut. (Trick statement. Everything's good with kraut)
