For this week's Disquiet Junto project, the prompt was inspired by church bells heard against a buzzing light on a telephone poll, or similar soundscape. The challenge was to create a piece for bell and drone. The drone is courtesy of Cherry Audio's CA2600 plugin. This was the "gateway drug" that got me into modular!

My parents, nearing their late 70s, have a collection of small bells. The bells in this piece are three of these bells from their mantle which I recorded last year. I put the humungus Galactic reverb from AirWindows on the hanging bell, and used his "Take Care" pitch effect on the two smaller bells later in the piece. I like to make my sends post-fader and really let the FX shine while I turn down the originals.
