From a Dutch perspective, not at all surprised by Mr. Rutte's sycophantic attitude towards Trump. For more than a decade, as PM, he was an unreliable embellisher who set a record as a liar and gaslighter. Keeping his own party in power and protecting the interests of big business was his sole goal. Some say that Rutte's fawning is good for NATO. We must fear that it will backfire for Iran, Israel, and not to forget Ukraine.
