@atpfm in episode 670 you mention Google Takeout as an example of a service which allows the user to export their data that Google came up all by itself, but I suspect this is not the case. I guess this was due to GDPR regulations from Europe to allow users to export or access their data, which is mandated by that law and it is also mandated that companies have to allow users to update, review or request a deletion of the data that is stored by said company.
