@Crux_Invictus Many scholars believe Peter gave Mark his source material & Mark's account underpins a lot of Matt & Luke. Gospel of John is quite separate from those others in terms of timeline, stated purpose, etc. In the Gospel of John (chapter 21:20-22), Peter asks Jesus about the future of the disciple John, saying, "Lord, what about him?". After Jesus prophesied Peter’s own martyrdom, Peter inquired regarding John's fate. So yeah, interesting dynamics between those two disciples.
