Some of my friends have started taking their social security earlier than 67. When I told them the decision is probably smart because there's no guarantee it's still going to be there in two years, they all said the same thing - Trump and the Republicans won't touch social security, it would be too unpopular with his base. He just started a war without bothering to get permission from congress. I don't think he cares how unpopular SS cuts would be. It's not like anyone's going to stop him.
