UK MPs have rejected a proposed ban on social media for under-16s. In a vote, the proposed ban was defeated by 307 votes to 173, a majority of 134.

@Privacymatters It would have encouraged other Governments to adopt it and it' s really a surveillance of all adults law, often giving the info to US corporations for ever with the privacy & security issues. It's not like showing ID in a shop to buy Alcohol, spray paint, glue or knives because *they don't store that* and only ask if you look "young".
