Just finished Enshittification by Cory Doctorow and feeling energised and hopeful. The first two thirds of the book contains an array of enshittification use cases from all the usual suspects - FB, Amazon, Twitter, et al, along with analysis of how it happened. Seeing it all laid out in this way - including all the corruption, tax dodging and asset shifting - instead of experiencing it gradually over many years, is shocking and depressing but the final third - what can be (and is being) done about it - is a great payoff!
