I doubt Microsoft understands why people don't like Windows, and the claim that user feedback shows we "care deeply" about Windows is ridiculous. To most people, the operating system is just there to let them do things. What it is and how it works matters not at all. They just care that it works and familiar things stay consistent. Windows is familiar to most people, so it's what they use. That's all.
