I've always been amused by woodgas cars... But they're so complex and difficult. There's a lot of hardware on one of those which is really better off being stationary. However, if you have an electric car, and you charge it at home using a woodgas generator, it is effectively a woodgas car... And you can pull heat off the woodgas system to heat your home...
