52 years, 1 day since Candy Darling died. I had so many questions I wanted to ask her. I'd met her nearly a year before. First person I met who was like me. In a SoHo cafe 7 years later, Lou Reed would substitute my name in place of Candy's in a singing of Walk On The Wild Side. It was appropriate. I was also from out on The Island, and um... I'd always wondered how Lou knew so much about me. I didn't know Lou at all,,, yet, but I'd later find out we had many friends in common. #trans #LGBTQ
