The existing typical approaches that i know of are suboptimal: either having a massive /etc/hosts file with 0.0.0.0 entries (can be pain, e.g. ssh tries to use the blocked hosts for autocompletion) or a Raspberry Pi running Pi-hole (nice for a home network but not something you'll carry around with your laptop).
