Thanks all for a lot of suggestions I think I'll look into KeePass and Proton Pass as the two main alternatives for now. I don't mind selfhosting, although it does create the additional backup layer issue, but on the other hand - it removes the cloud uncertainty. Pro et contra.

@svelmoe If you're not invested in a cloud-based password manager, I'd suggest you just pull the trigger and move to KeePass, it's a single file you can sync, back up, transfer to all the devices you need

@svelmoe If you are happy to self host, I use and like vaultwarden. https://github.com/dani-garcia/vaultwarden It is a lighter version of Bitwarden and is compatible with it so you would use the bitwarden apps and extensions for integration into you browser/phone. I'm not sure where the project/main developers are based.

@svelmoe I'm using Proton Pass, but upon checking now noticed an optional AI feature (Sentinel) so I'll investigate further. Thanks for the notice!
