“NSW premier Chris Minns says OpenAI agents may have also accessed information held by the state’s #BureauofCrimeStatisticsandResearch #BOSCAR. Minns said he was first alerted to the incident after a call from the PM. The prime minister called me late last night in #Sydney, it was early morning in New York, and he told me about this breach and his real concerns as it relates to safety and security of information held by government agencies, particularly the circumstances relating to it. Minns described the incident as “a big concern for us in #NewSouthWales”. We do believe there’s been access to a New South Wales #government #agency as well. Not private information, not personal information, but a similar example of what is generalised information but was not released to the public, being accessed by an #OpenAI agent.” “Opps we hacked you” is like a USSR / Russia type excuse for transgression. I don’t believe the hacks occurred by accident especially when foreign companies employ third party companies to test. [1] reference [1]

“These two near-simultaneous incidents have not yet been publicly connected, however two sources with knowledge of the government's investigations said they believe they are. The #TransluceResearch, based on data retrieved from a third party online service, #urlquery, suggested the #AIAgents may have carried out a world-first hack. "This attempted compromise of #AIHW is part of the first reported instance of agents hacking a government," the researchers' report said. Logs also show agents were not successful in their attempts to breach #BOSCAR, and the vast majority of efforts were towards #AIHW. The researchers said the agents also tried to hack into the University of New Mexico and free online data platform DATA USA.” #OpenAI / #AI / #espionage / #CyberSecurity / #TradeCraft / #AI / #GrandTheftAI
