@BeefGriller@dice.camp Without suggesting we’re for or against, there was a hearing a few years ago on a previous bill that argued that AM stations are already hardened against a number big-deal events like hurricanes and even some against nuclear level explosions and therefore it would be wasteful not to keep live another method for alerting folks to emergency information. The counter argument from last year or year before from car makers was that AM signals can interfere with modern electronics.
