Orange Shirt Day is kind of exciting for kids, like a holiday. It’s weird, tonally. I don’t know that you can have a day off and not have it end up that way.

@dx@social.ridetrans.it I agree it feels unusual. I've been practising stopping myself from saying "Wednesday is a holiday." Instead I say, "Wednesday is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation."
