@hydroxyl@freeradical.zone i agree that age restriction isn't gonna do much. Neither would a total ban on scooters. People will drive them anyway. Also keep in mind that software-imposed restrictions have a particular problem too; firmware can be overridden. Almost every e-bike, e-moped and e-scooter here is very easily modded to overcome speed limitations. I think manufacturers really need to step up here and do more to prevent such modding. Also, i don't mind driving my car at 30 in cities. It's fine. Here cities go even further and just try to ban cars alltogether from entering the inner city parts. "Walkable city design" they call it. It's nice, though i wish i had a cart for my bicycle for transporting goods. It's difficult to carry a lot of stuff on foot.
