There were too many options for the the poll format when I started compiling a list. 45s, cassingles and SACD were the main ones that I dropped.
Would you call 45s a subset of the LP era, or did they have a lifespan of their own (before the modern vinyl resurgence)?

@TG_Esq I chose LP because LPS are the closest choice to 45s. Popular music was mainly on 45s, after 78s, and until maybe the second half of the 60s, maybe early 70s. Sometimes one sees them in movies and TV of that time.
