@mhoye@cosocial.ca But if nobody's actually conceptualizing the effect as it was originally intended, and we all share a common misconception, then what this guy researched wasn't the "Dunning-Kruger" effect, but the Dunning-Kruger effect--which the article explains is something entirely different. So nothing is proved here, thank you very much. I can continue to use it as it was intended: an ad hominem. If people can't see through that then they almost certainly don't know exactly HOW full of shit I am.
