Thinking about how to port a graphics driver from an old kernel to a new kernel. I have two old toshiba laptops which are first gen x64 amds with onboard graphics I think. They work with lubuntu and some very old version of mint but in current mint the screen just stays black. How would I go about getting the working driver working on a current mint version and maybe maintaining it in the future? Thinking of giving the latops away and need a way of having the user not having to terminal...
