Back in 2001 or so, in the PS2 days, I used to have a sign pinned to my desk with the words "A GAME IS NOT A FILM" that I could point to. I see that little has changed.

@tattlemuss curious what you’re alluding to. I think if anything, games are more like serial TV, in terms of writing and pacing. But yes many folks want to be like film because it’s prestigious, and things are lost in pursuit of that
