fedi hivemind: do any of y'all have a pair of *specifically* cdj1000s? im particularly interested in the playing off an sdcard aspect since that or usb would be my primary media source (I'm unlikely to start burning cds any time soon). id like to be able to go from recording something live to djing with that recording with the least hassle possible. are there any snags/gotchas with sd/usb playback or stuff the deck doesnt do as well as with cd? I'm not interested in the later models with the fancy screens, automixing or any other horseshit, just old school decks, but plays off sd/usb. i have a pair of numark axis 8s but they only read actual cds. if there was a way of converting them to use a different filesystem....well, that would be a thing but I suspect beyond my skills. #pioneer #cdj1000 #dj
