I noticed something odd in trans discussions, news pieces, etc. in the UK vs. North America (especially the USA; I've kind of noticed both in Canada): American trans people, from what I've seen, mostly use "trans woman" and "trans man," exactly like that, but sometimes, those terms are presented without a space ("transwoman," "transman"), and not many people seem to care which one is used. UK trans people (again, from what I've seen) pretty much exclusively use the space. Not doing so can be seen as slightly offensive. I wonder why that's the case, that there's a sort of indifference to that in US/CAN, and why it's treated as such in the UK? #trans #transgender
