@wxhbxh@mastodon.nzoss.nz I lived in China, where my apartment building included a 6' x 6' storage room in the bottom floor that most people used for ebike storage, including a place to plug in and charge. Mine did not have a removable battery. Firewise, I never saw one catch fire during the three years I was there. A bike powered by lithium-ion has enough power to carry you. Weight will affect how far you can travel before needing to charge.
