only one more day until weatherradio shuts down permanently in canada. for decades, this system has provided weather information and emergency alerts for free to countless canadians. with no plan for weatherradio’s replacement, this will leave a dangerous gap in canada’s emergency preparedness. this is yet another example of austerity cuts putting lives at risk. despite public petitions, and many writing letters to the government, it seems we are being ignored, and weatherradio will go dark.
