@StarkRG@myside-yourside.net @0x2ba22e11@unstable.systems @molly0xfff@hachyderm.io You may not get an ideal product, but I can't think of anything else where you can go to the store for products of category X, browse from a bunch of well-known brands, and then buy a thing for category X and not get something that at least mostly works as you would expect a thing of category X to work. Certainly not medical things, which are strictly regulated. Dietary supplements, maybe, where the claims are always weasel words to hide the fact that they don't work. But if someone went into a vacuum-cleaner shop and bought a vacuum cleaner from a massive multinational brand, then came home to discover that it didn't actually work as a vacuum cleaner and instead sprayed dye all over their carpets, I'd place 100% of the blame with the vendor. I don't know why you are so intent on shifting blame to the victims of a trillion dollar company's misleading advertising and away from the company.
