I was just at a library and stumbled upon the teenage section where there were a bunch of really cool, illustrated books with all sorts of cool stories. If reading was this fun growing up, I probably would have picked it up way sooner. In Colombia we start with really heavy, hard to process stuff like La María, Don Quijote and other "classic novels" that are for sure important to know but are by no means meant to encourage young people to learn how to enjoy reading
