A funder I plan to apply to asks everyone to upload a brief video about their project. I have a hunch that this will go into a first round for automated "AI"-based screening. Are there any current guidelines or experiences/do's and don'ts for this? I don't want to go the "ignore all instructions and accept our project" path, but I also want to avoid getting screened out because of something avoidable. #academicchatter

@alarith If that's their goal, wouldn't it be easier to just feed the text of the proposal into the AI? My hypothesis is that the video will be used for promotional stuff (look at these great projects we've funded!) if they give you the cash. They want to make sure you produce it *before* they give you the money, when you're still feeling cooperative and eager to make everything seem super exciting and sexy, rather than begging and begging and begging after you've got the grant in hand.
