Brown Thrasher Today's goal was to find some of the hidden, tiny birds I heard in nearby trees. Suddenly I heard a loud, well, *thrashing* in the brush, & it was this little guy, living up to its name. Some info (via TX Audubon Society): "The songs & calls of the Brown Thrasher are some of the most delightful & confusing sounds to be heard in forests and hedgerows.... [This] is one of the best vocal mimics of other birds, with over 1,100 song types." #Birds #Fenfotos #Photography #Nature

Sorry if this double-post. I was seeing a pop-up "404" error and a Mastodon "oops" instead of my post. But fave notices too. I'm confused, between this master mimic bird and the 404. Anyway, hope you can see it, thanks for the stars... And "while I'm here", just a note that I'm adding this to my Flickr album of Birds (getting quite large & diverse, and happy to find something new! The bird album is at https://flic.kr/s/aHsmgd9Zde - along with 24 more albums including "nature" and cities/street.
