@TrevorGoodchild @judgedread Who would have thought (at the time) that a throwaway irreverent comedy could have contained so many individual tropes as to prove nearly capable of predicting the future.
Somebody pointed out yesterday that jews are capable of self-deprecating comedy. I think that's one of their strengths; self-deprecation requires honesty during self-assessment. When they take that Truth and push it into a movie, it becomes memorable
