    @VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social Running the United States. The oogie boogie Village Elders and Elder Chief is a myth. Most countries don't do that. They stop at about 65, which is retirement age. Not for the US. In order to get the maximum Social Security benefit, you have to be 70 to draw the max, with small step bonuses for every, I think 3 or 5 years additional that you work. Welcome to hard capitalism.
