Well, if it's long COVID awareness day, I'll add my ten cents.
I was one of the first to contract it in the UK, and have had it as long as anyone, since 2019. Reclusive even then, I was lured out to help a relative who was essentially dying with a heart condition, when his visiting grandson who's father has been working in Saudi passed it to me, and frankly finished him off.

I seemed to shake off the first bout after six months, an snakebite actually helped 😂 but then I also shielded for my mother, getting her supplies when the infection was recognised, and contracted COVID again only for her to become an antivax imbecile, So, those two entirely pyrrhic efforts from me, has led to five glorious years of post infection complications, including sunlight allergy, now hardly being able to eat anything without swelling up, a memory like a sieve when stood,..
