This excellent post by @ratfactor feels very resonant to me, as LLM bullshit continues to infect every facet of my industry https://ratfactor.com/tech-nope2

@noelle@mastodon.noelle.dev @ratfactor@mastodon.art ‘Clearly this is not an opinion shared by the vocal body of "computer programmers" today.’ Well it’s shared here. And I deeply hope that this is a problem with ‘vocal’ rather than a problem with ‘computer programmers’. The pro-LLM crowd is so *very* vocal.

@noelle@mastodon.noelle.dev @ratfactor@mastodon.art this resonates and still comes back to mind. I've felt a sense of loneliness when I discover that others care less about both how things work and correctness. I find enormous joy in shared understanding and pooling thoughts and I've felt that ai breaks a lot of that. The moment some peers are just interested in delivering something with speed and in outsourcing the creative process I enjoy so much. I feel this post puts that in words I've been looking for.
