I believe climate change is one of the biggest threats humanity faces. I believe that technology is the only thing that can save us. However, technology must be paired with good ideology, policy, and priorities. If you have the wrong ideology, you will choose the wrong technology. The right technology is the only solution. We can't go back, we have billions of people to feed. We can't continue as we are, our emissions are warming the planet to mid Pliocene temperatures. We have to continue to produce food and other necessities as efficiently as we do now, but we must switch our energy sources away from fossil fuels. That's going to take a technological shift, but more importantly, an ideological shift. Emissions reductions need to be the top priority, not profits.
