Tried 'Transit mode' on the Pixel phone. Don't waste your time if you're looking for decent support for rail and bus commuting. No 'next bus at', no concourse maps, no 'your stop is approaching'.
Google Maps was such a win for public transport when it integrated live timetables. But that was a long time ago.
