Today is the Ides of March and there is a lesson from history. Julius Caesar was murdered on this day in 44 BCE because (amongst other faults) he wanted to rule as an autocrat. Most of the Caesars who followed were much worse, some of them perverted, vindictive madmen. Sound familiar?
