@MySideIsHumanity@mastodon.cloud What I'm seeing right now is a lot of white collar workers asking, "But, uh, how... how are we supposed to make a living?" and the response being straight from The Emperor's New Groove: "Don't know don't care, how's that?" No, I don't think white collar workers are any more special than the factory workers and the fishermen and the other people who were economically screwed before them. But it is interesting to see how quickly everything burns to ashes when they don't need you anymore. And I don't think this government is even going to pay lip service to "retraining" anyone.
