Calling Linux Touchers: Connected to the last post and separate for visibility...need a laptop for judging purposes, and I’m going to wipe a cheap laptop my husband hates for a mobile internet with a keyboard machine. Kind of figured this could be an excuse to try out another distro and maybe another desktop environment...which one would any of you recommend for lower-end (but not basement) hardware performance in particular? Would be willing to learn a few new tricks for it; just don’t expect me to be happy having to use the terminal for everything.
