One of the things that was interesting to me is that in trans circles, the hormone you were born with is almost universally associated with depression, low energy, lack of emotional expression, and so on. Which is greatly improved when you transition, and usually further improved when you start HRT. Except one of those (testosterone) is the only one that society *also* associates with lack of emotional expression. So imagine how interesting it is to see repeatedly all the trans mascs going “I can feel emotions again!” The second they get on the supposedly “emotion killing endocrine hormone” testosterone. https://jorts.horse/@dank/116190677325217320

    @hazelweakly@hachyderm.io part of why the powers that be hate trans people so much is that our existance alone disproves so much of their gender essentialism and dismantles the restrictive roles they force people into to control them. if the world could embrace and understand us, then they could become so much more free
